Cold and how did so many people show up! Very nice turn out for the first ride of the WRCS. There was a nasty wind wsw at 22-24 kph with some stronger gusts. Felt like about -13 so I guess that's why the group ride was really tight.
This was my first group ride with the Nature Boy SSCX. It was a great ride and this steed is really stiff and responsive. The hardest part was on the last stretch home, with the wind at our backs, I just couldn't spin the cranks as fast as they wanted to go. I whole group of us SS'ers had the same complaint and our cadence was out of this world. We all wanted bigger gears on that last stretch.
Looks like the WRCS will be a great success if this week was any indication. It was a good ride by everyone!
