Ben, Aljonn and Katrina all had strong races.
Aljonn and Katrina stayed in the main field for the entire race and Ben broke away with two women that would finish the race with him. The three of them worked really nice together and continued to add time on the field. Katrina and Aljonn stayed strong in the second chase group and were both positioned nicely for the final finish.
And what a finish!!!! Ben powered a sprint, like Miguel Indurian of the olden days. I don't know what kind of wattage he was registering, but there were sparks flying everywhere. Aljonn and Katrina both sprinted for the 6th place overall and Katrina finished in excellent form, winning the sprint for the girls youth category.
As for me, well, I managed to last 22 minutes
with the B race main group but, after 4 weeks of a bad chest cold and sinus infection, it was a bit too much for me. I'll just have to enjoy the glory of the other CBRT riders.Pictures by Chyla's Race Photos and check more out at her site Photography by Chyla.
