Training Ride

Today was a nice day in Essex County in southwestern Ontario. Temperatures hit about 15c and it was nice and sunny. A good day for an outside ride and I saw quite a number of other riders. Rode for about an hour only because it was late and I only covered about 32km. Finally got the Madone out on the road and it felt really good and responsive although it was more than a little dusty....

It was a nice casual recovery ride with a few sprints to make sure my legs were awake. Don't think the rest of me was awake but when the gravel hauler blew by me within 1 1/2 feet and blasted the horn, I was quite agitated and .... well, you can guess what I wanted to say to the driver.

I just stood on my pedals because I was too blown away to react with my traditional kiss blowing. Definitely was awake after that! Other than the one driver, driver's were good and gave lots of space. Guess it was the other riders on the roads and the warm temps.
